Pets Evacuation and Transportation Standards (PETS) Act of 2005

The Pets Evacuation and Transportation Standards Act of 2005 would amend the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act to ensure that State and local emergency preparedness operational plans address the needs of individuals with household pets and service animals following a major disaster or emergency.

Urge your representative and senators to support and cosponsor this important legislation, which will help ensure that we don't repeat the heartbreaking circumstances that occurred in the Gulf Coast region after Hurricane Katrina.
